This young deer was enjoying an early autumn snack of grass in a clearing, but he was puzzled by the faint beep that my camera made as it focused. As his ears worked on the sound, his eyes were trying to make sense of a motionless lumpy creature with one large round eye. Soon after this, he remembered that he was late for another appointment!
